My Story

I spent years becoming versions of myself that helped me survive.

The Wound

Long before I had language for it, I knew the feeling of not belonging. As a boy in Ecuador, I sensed I was different in a way I couldn't name — too sensitive, too much, somehow always slightly outside the room I was standing in. So I did what so many of us do. I learned to read what the world wanted from me, and I became it. I built an identity designed to keep me safe, to earn approval, to make the ache of being unseen go quiet.

That wound — the belief that who I really was would never be enough — became the engine of my ambition. Every achievement was a way of proving I belonged. And for a long time it worked. It got me out, it got me moving, it got me applause. What it never did was let me rest.

When I moved to Australia, I reinvented myself completely. I climbed in hospitality leadership, chased the markers of success, and assembled a life that looked enviable from the outside. Yet the better it looked, the emptier it felt. I was performing a version of myself so convincingly that even I had started to believe it — and the gap between who I appeared to be and who I actually was grew wider every year.

Then came the awakening. Spirituality didn't arrive gently for me; it cracked the survival self wide open. It forced me to look at the identity I had spent decades constructing and ask whether any of it was actually mine. That unraveling was terrifying and necessary. For the first time, I stopped trying to fix myself and started trying to remember myself.

Bali is where I finally came home. Through surrender, entrepreneurship, and the slow practice of embodiment, I learned that the life I longed for didn't require more striving — it required me to stop performing. The man kneeling in the waves at dusk wasn't chasing anything anymore. He was simply being what he had always been underneath the armour.

Real transformation began the moment I stopped performing and started embodying who I truly was.

I've lived this transformation. Now I guide others across the same threshold.
